We are living a moment for dialogue and negotiation, offering a long-awaited window of opportunity to visit Ukrain. This is a non-profit journey, designed to fully support the Ukrainian economy — particularly local tourism entrepreneurs and families. Because resilience is resistance, because every gesture counts, and because dignity, reunion, and solidarity between nations cannot be left solely in the hands of political leaders.

Portugueses em Viagem is Travel Project based in Portugal, (RNAVT:5067), organizing Expeditions all over the world since 2015.
A MISSION OF SOLIDARITY AND RECONSTRUCTION IN UKRAINE
Since the war in Ukraine began, Portugueses em Viagem has shown its commitment to solidarity and real action. In the midst of the humanitarian crisis, we organized a support mission and were present in Poland, at the border, where thousands of refugees arrived daily seeking safety in Europe. This transformative experience led to a project with real impact: a book published by our founder João Oliveira, with all profits directly donated to the Ukrainian people, funding a project we will identify in person.
The travelers who took part remained engaged upon their return, actively supporting Ukrainian refugees by leveraging their personal and professional networks — turning the journey into multiple initiatives that benefited many people. We are not, nor do we intend to be, a humanitarian NGO. But we are fully committed to Human Rights. Over more than a decade of travel, we have gathered a community of Portuguese travelers who share these fundamental values. Our decision to include Ukraine in our travel destinations is a bold and meaningful way to generate employment and income for the Ukrainian people, a courageous and impactful action that brings hope and strengthens the friendship between both nations.
PUTTING UKRAINE BACK ON THE MAP FOR PORTUGUESE TRAVELERS
We believe that tourism is the Industry of Peace. Traveling is an act of resistance, reconstruction, and hope. More than charity, tourism can become a powerful driver of economic and social recovery. Creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and fostering entrepreneurship are effective and sustainable ways to help Ukraine. It is with this spirit that we are organizing the first Expedition to Ukraine, an essential step to show that the country remains alive, vibrant, and ready to welcome travelers. We count on you to make this initiative a success and inspire future expeditions that help restore Ukraine’s visibility and vitality. Join us in this mission of solidarity and reconstruction.

Help promote this initiative on social media, encouraging other Travel Agencies and Tour Operators to resume travel to Ukraine.
ITINERARY
Portugueses em Viagem expeditions are unique and organized directly with local entrepreneurs. The dates and itineraries are exclusive, and vacancys are limited.
HIGH LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
All our expeditions have a high to very high difficulty level. We do not accept minors. Elderly travelers or those with chronic conditions must confirm with their doctor that they are fit for intense physical efforts. To safely complete and fully enjoy our Expeditions, you must be in good physical and mental health and fully autonomous.
BOOK IN ADVANCE
Vacancys are limited to ensure each trip is authentic, human, genuine, and environmentally friendly. Booking is simple, secure, and immediate.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
To participate in this Expedition, you must have travel insurance covering medical expenses and repatriation.
HEALTH
Consult your Doctor before joining this Expedition. Medical assistance and medication in Ukraine may not be available for travellers.
GENERAL TERMS
Portugueses em Viagem is a travel agency legally registered with Turismo de Portugal since 2015. We are professionals and strictly follow Portuguese and European legislation. You can review our Terms & Conditions HERE.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
The registration fee (200€) for travelers who cancel their participation or fail to meet the above requirements will be donated to humanitarian organizations operating in Ukraine.

- Strict compliance with the Expedition’s safety guidelines. Ukraine is still a country at war.
- Criminal Record Certificate and Medical Certificate proving physical and psychological fitness.
- Common sense, understanding, and generosity towards local partners.

- Expedition led in Portuguese and English
