Here is the Terms and Conditions document written in English, compliant with Portuguese laws Decreto-Lei n.º 17/2018 and Decreto-Lei n.º 17/2020, for international clients of Portugueses em Viagem:
Portugueses em Viagem – Travel and Expeditions is a travel agency legally registered with Turismo de Portugal under RNAVT:5067. Our activities are fully regulated under Portuguese and European legislation. By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Registration and Payment
1.1 Your registration is confirmed only upon payment of a non-refundable deposit between €250 and €998, depending on the expedition. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 1.2 The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the expedition start date. For registrations made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. 1.3 The published price includes VAT, reservation fees, and local taxes, and is guaranteed against currency fluctuations. 1.4 Portugueses em Viagem reserves the right to cancel registrations that fail to meet payment deadlines. 1.5 Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. 2. 4. Minimum and Maximum Age 4.1 Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 21 years old. We do not accept minors. 4.2 Maximum Age: There is no upper age limit; however, participants must ensure they are physically and mentally fit for the demands of the expedition. 4.3 Participants are responsible for seeking appropriate medical advice and ensuring they meet health requirements for their chosen destination. 5. Passport, Visas, and Travel Documents 5.1 It is the responsibility of each participant to carry a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity post-travel dates), necessary visas, permits, and travel documentation. 5.2 Any failure to secure proper travel documentation will result in the participant assuming full responsibility for any resulting costs, delays, or denied participation. 6. Travel Insurance 6.1 Travel insurance is mandatory and must be obtained at the time of booking. 6.2 The insurance policy must include:
7. Itinerary Changes 7.1 Before Departure: Significant changes (affecting at least one full day of the itinerary) will be communicated as soon as possible. Participants may choose to:

8. Optional Activities
Optional activities not included in the trip price do not form part of this contract. Assistance provided by the expedition leader for optional activities does not render Portugueses em Viagem liable for these activities. 9. Authority on Tour The decision of the Expedition Leader is final on matters concerning group safety, itinerary changes, and participant behavior. Participants must comply with:

Acceptance of Risk 10.1 Participants acknowledge that expeditions involve physical challenges and risks, including, but not limited to, unpredictable weather, cultural differences, and basic local infrastructure. 10.2 Portugueses em Viagem takes reasonable measures to ensure safety but cannot eliminate all risks. Participants accept full responsibility for their decision to join the expedition. 10.3 By participating, clients agree to follow any COVID-19 health protocols set by the agency, destination, or local authorities. 11. Cancellations by the Participant 11.1 Cancellations made within 60 days of departure will result in the participant being liable for all incurred costs. 11.2 No refunds will be provided for services not utilized during the trip. 12. Third-Party Services and Liability Portugueses em Viagem works with reputable third-party suppliers for activities, transport, and accommodations. While we take all reasonable care, we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. Participants must comply with any additional waivers or conditions imposed by these suppliers. 13. Complaints and ClaimsIf an issue arises during the trip, participants must immediately notify the Expedition Leader or local representative to resolve the matter. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the trip’s conclusion via our website. 14. Privacy and Data ProtectionWe comply with Portuguese and European data protection laws.
